Fulston scored one penalty and missed another but ultimately tired against a Real 60 side that impressed with their long-range finishing. Real 60 led early on but Fulston played some good football and, having missed a one-on-one chance, man-of-the-match Keagan Wilson earned two penalties. Wilson missed the first but handed the second to Ryan Bruce who converted to leave things level at the break. Despite going behind again United almost equalised with a shot scrambled away. Real 60 took advantage of the larger goals with three good strikes to give the scoreline a more comprehensive look than it, perhaps, warranted.
Milton & Fulston United 1 – 3 Rainham Eagles (
Fulston played well against the former division one side but an inability to clear their lines proved decisive in this tight contest. Neither side was able to produce a clear cut chance in the first half but in the second United started brightly. However they fell behind after a string of Rainham Eagles corners which they failed to clear, and gave away a soft second soon after. William Cosstick’s free-kick was deflected in with six minutes remaining but despite a few long range efforts it was Rainham Eagles who sealed the match in the final minutes. Man-of-the-match was Matthew Barr
United lacked any workrate or desire in a shocking display which saw Sheerness trounce them easily. East ran in goals for fun with Fulston not closing down and it was 7-0 after 22 minutes. Ryan Bruce got a consolation from William Cosstick’s free-kick to leave the half time score as 9-1. United went out determined to win the second half, man-of-the-match Thomas Carter was immense with his tackling and work ethic a beacon to the rest. Cosstick scored from a corner, but East ran in two more with the damage already done in the first half

Thamesview Youth 2 – 5 Milton & Fulston Utd (
Ryan Bruce gave Fulston the lead after 90 seconds and despite gifting Thamesview an equaliser they were more dangerous going forward. Man-of-the-match Jay Gibson set up Bradley Dooley and Keagan Wilson for goals two and three, and then scored himself to make it 4-1. Matthew Barr added a fifth but as
Milton & Fulston Utd 2 – 1 Woodpecker HI Utd (
Fulston came from behind to earn their third successive victory thanks to plenty of hard work and a brace from Ryan Bruce. In a scrappy first half Woodpecker took the lead with a fine finish. Keagan Wilson was brilliantly denied by the ‘Pecker keeper as they went into half time behind. Man-of-the-match Ryan Bruce got things back on level terms shortly after the break and his persistence earned him a second goal. Fulston kept their opponents at arm’s length second half, and despite
Strood United 1 – 0 Milton & Fulston Utd (
Fulston put in their best performance of the season but were denied the equalising goal that they merited. Both sides had won their last three but with chances at a premium both goalkeepers made good saves when opportunities came. Fulston were under the cosh at the start of the second half, and eventually Strood took the lead. They were then denied an equaliser when a 40 yard shot looped in but was chalked off for offside. Despite creating more half-chances they could not re-score that equaliser. Man-of-the-match went to Matthew Barr who played superbly at both ends of the pitch
Horsted Youth 6 – 1 Milton & Fulston Utd (
An anaemic performance got what it deserved as
Rainham 84 1 – 0 Milton & Fulston Utd (
Despite missing key players Fulston produced a brilliant display in a tight game with few chances and were unlucky to go home empty handed.
Milton & Fulston Utd 0 – 4 Strood United (
Fulston worked hard but ultimately lacked a cutting edge against a Strood side who recorded their seventh successive victory.
United again started strongly but faded as injuries in key positions continued to dog their season. Fulston put two chances narrowly over before Samuel Stevens’ sweetly struck volley put them deservedly ahead.
Milton & Fulston Utd 2 – 3
Despite several absences and with many players carrying knocks, United put in a battling display but ultimately went home empty-handed in a tight contest. Both sides started well but it was United who took the lead with William Cosstick scoring a brilliant breakaway goal. Valley saw a few efforts saved brilliantly but ultimately got their equaliser before nicking the lead before half time. They extended their lead midway through the second half but Fulston fought back bravely with Cosstick setting up Max Sait for United’s second and then hitting the crossbar with minutes remaining. Man-of-the-match went to Hayden Kennedy
Strood 87 3 – 2 Milton & Fulston Utd (
Fulston put in a superb performance on a terrible pitch as their run of bad luck in tight matches continued. United played some brilliant football considering the surface and Ryan Bruce deservedly put them ahead after four minutes. Fulston could not extend that lead though, and Strood drew level just before the break. Man-of-the-match Keagan Wilson was unlucky not to restore Fulston’s lead before Strood struck twice on the break to go ahead. Wilson did score a cracking goal but Fulston ran out of time for an equaliser, and lost by the odd goal for the fifth time this season
Milton & Fulston Utd 2 – 5 Strood 87 (
United were again missing players but despite another impressive performance they gifted their opposition goals at key times. Strood were gifted the lead through an own goal and doubled it before William Cosstick made up for his own goal with a superb solo effort going past six players. Strood restored the two goal advantage through a crowded box but Bradley Dooley made it 3-2. However, two sloppy moments at the back allowed Strood to pull away and United tired late on. Man-of-the-match went to Bradley Dakin who was immense at the back amongst a makeshift defence
Milton & Fulston Utd 4 - 3 Pegasus 81 (aet) (League Cup) (
United began 2012 in dramatic fashion with an extra time victory in the first round of the League Cup. Fulston were cruising in the first half with goals from Keagan Wilson and Jay Gibson and a defence looking rock solid. But second half they gave away a sloppy goal which encouraged Pegasus and they went 3-2 up. The game was taken into extra time with a well worked goal finished off by Bradley Dooley five minutes from the end. Extra time was a nervy affair but the tie was settled with a brilliant goal from man-of-the-match
Milton & Fulston Utd 0 - 3 Real 60 (
United produced a lethargic display but still kept a top side within touching distance. The match started evenly but poor marking at a corner and a slow clearance gifted Real 60 a two goal lead before half time. Despite struggling to get out of their half in the second period United rarely looked like conceeding again, with man-of-the-match Samuel Stevens performing well out of position. Fulston nearly broke through late on, but lacked that cutting edge, and Real 60 added a third near the end with United players watching on.
Wigmore Youth 7 - 1 Milton & Fulston Utd (29-01-12) (League Cup)
Fulston were knocked out of the cup by Wigmore for the second successive season but impressed against the first division side. United started the brighter with several shots and despite going behind with sloppy errors Keagan Wilson scored a brilliant solo goal to get Fulston back in the tie at 2-1. But United gave away two sloppy goals and the momentum going into half time. United had a penalty shout to close the gap, but Wigmore took advantage of the slope to give the scoreline a flattering look. Man-of-the-Match was jointly awarded to Bradley Dakin and Bradley Dooley
