Milton & Fulston Utd Under 14's

Eagles 0 - 2  Milton & Fulston Utd (11-09-11)

A great start to the season by the M&F U14's. From the off the boys produced some great passing moves and dominated possession for the majority of the first half with some superb through balls from danny Kadwill. Unfortunately M&F could not seem to find the back of the net despite some great attempts on target by Daniel Organ, Charlie Roche and Jacob Lake. With 26 minutes of the first half gone it was a cross from Callum Smith that gave Daniel Organ his first goal of the season. Eagles came back almost immediately, and were it not for a superb diving save from stand in keeper Ben Christopher, could have equalized. Second half started pretty much the same as the first with M&F pressing for another goal and with just 16 minutes of the second half gone Jacob Lake scored his first of the season. With several missed chances the score could have been higher and towards the end some sloppy passing almost gave Eagles a glimmer of hope but the boys held out to pick up all 3 points. Every player played his part today, with noteable performances from the two Man of the Match winners. Well done boys lets keep it going. Managers MOTM - Ben Christopher. Parents MOTM - Callum Smith

Milton & Fulston Utd 8 - 2 Milton & Fulston Utd Zebras (18-09-11)

Following on from the previous weeks win, the M&F boys were fully focused on the job in hand against M&F's 2nd U14 team in Div. 1. With only 6 minutes on the clock it was Jacob Lake who headed his 2nd of the season from a corner into the back of the opponents net. We were off and running and with 10 minutes on the clock Callum Smith put his first of the season in off the far post to make it 2 goals for the home team. 15 minutes in and it was Charlie Roche adding a 3rd for the home team who looked to be dominating the game. Then disaster struck and the visitors seemed to wake up, and spotting the M&F keeper off his line, a long lob caught the home side in no man’s land and scored their first of the game. 2 minutes later and the visitors were 2 goals to the good following some defensive errors by the home team. This shook the home team and for the remainder of what seemed like an eternity the home team were on the back foot and welcomed the half time whistle. After a solid team talk at half time the boys knew what they had to do in the 2nd half. With only a minute gone of the 2nd half the home team were gifted with an own goal which seemed to fire up the boys and 5 minutes later it was Charlie Roche again scoring his 2nd of the game and season. Substitute Mitch Lawson making his debut for the home team came on and soon made his presence felt on 15 minutes with his 1st goal of the season and the home teams 6th. The boys were asked to up there work rate for the last 10 minutes of the game and they did not disappoint. Some errors in defence by the away team gifted the home team with another own goal and 2 minutes later it was Kieran Faulkner scoring his 1st goal of the season and the home teams 8th. The game finished with what can only be described as a much improved team performance. Everyone gave 110% and apart from a shaky end to the 1st half the boys have proved what they are capable of. Milton & Fulston Utd 3 - 2 Guru Nanak (25-09-11)

The home team played host to an unbeaten Guru Nanak in there third game of the 2011/12 season. With several key players missing at the start of the game a disjointed M & F side struggled to keep the attacking visitors at bay and it was only 11 minutes in when M & F found themselves a goal down. After several tactical changes it was a rejuvinated M & F that had the majority of possesion with constant attacking of the Guru goal against a strong swirling wind. On 23 minutes it was Daniel Organ who brought M & F back into the game with a superbly taken strike which burried itself into the back of the Guru Goal. M & F had several other chances coming up the the half time whistle with a close effort by Callum Smith narrowly missing the goal. On 33 minutes Oliver Holley opened this seasons account with a low ball across goal which found the back of the net in superb style. The 2nd half started with M & F taken full advantage of the strong wind blowing down the pitch at the Guru goal. Several long range shots from Danny Kadwill, Daniel Organ and Mitch Lawson all going narrowly wide of the goal including another superb shot from Daniel Organ which skimmed the cross bar. M & F had the majority of the possesion in the second half and it was Jacob Lake on 16 minutes who took advantage of some great build up play to give M & F 3 - 1 lead. With only seconds left on the clock M & F conceded a second goal after some sloppy defending from a Guru corner ball that left a Guru player unmarked and free to head home the ball. The final whistle blew seconds after Guru kicked off and M & F breathed a sigh of relief, and chalked up there 3rd win of the season. Managers MOTM - Kieren Faulkner. Rainham Eagles 0 - 7 Milton & Fulston Utd  (02-10-11)

In glorious sun on an October morning M & F looked to continue there good start to the season against Rainham Eagles. With less than a minute on the clock it was Charlie Roche who started precedings with a perfectly timed run at a napping eagles defence to give the visitors an early lead. On 4 minutes it was Charlie Roche again with another perfectly timed run beating the Rainham Eagles defence to make it 2 for the visitors. With only 5 minutes on the clock it was Harry McEntire who scored his first of the season from M & F's first corner of the game to make it 3. After scoring in quick succession M & F had to wait to the 19th minute for Daniel Organ to unleash a thunderous shot from just outside the 18 yard box that the Rainham Eagles keeper was unable to stop and gave M & F there 4th of the game. On the stroke of 33 minutes after a flurry of activity in the Rainham Eagles 6 yard box a cleared ball by the home side was met by Regan James who curled the ball back into the top left corner of the goal giving him his first of the season and M & F's 5th of the game. A rejuvinated Rainham Eagles side started the 2nd half brightly with several shots at goal just missing and giving the visitors a little cause for concern. With several attempts by M & F's Stanley Green, Charlie Roche and Danny Kadwill just going wide as well, it was in the 33rd minute that Mitch Lawson scored M & F's 6th goal after a nicely weighted pass through from Callum Smith. With only seconds left on the clock and against the run of play M & F's Jacob Lake scored the visitors 7th and final goal of the game. A good all round performance by the boys and long may it continue. Managers MOTM - Harry McEntire, Parents MOTM - Kieran Faulkner

Kenilworth 9 - 1 Milton & Fulston Utd  (09-10-11)

A bad day at the office doesn't even come close to describing the disappointing performance from the away team. Lack of team work, shocking marking and general lack of performance gave the home side a 2 goal lead within the first 5 minutes. A concilation goal by Daniel Organ didnt take the taste of defeat away. The score could have been a lot worse had it not been for new signing Bradley Connell in between the stcks pulling off some superb saves. Not one to dwell to much on the result, so its knuckle down time in training and put this one down to experience.

Milton & Fulston Utd 6 - 2 Rainham Eagles  (16-10-11)

M&F bounced back from the previous weeks disappointing result to get back to winning ways. With 10 minutes on the clock it was Daniel organ who opened up with a cracking shot which left the Rainham Eagles keeper in no mans land. After some great passing play from the midfield of Jacob Lake and Callum Smith it was Organ again making it 2 for the home side. With only 5 minutes left of the first half M&F were left stunned when Rainham Eagles, against the run of playhad players who were left unmarked from a set piece and pulled 1 back to make it 2-1. This acted as a wake up call for the home team and almost immediately M&F struck back with a goal from Stanley Green which was his first of the season to make it 3-1 at the break. Rainham Eagles started the stronger of the 2 teams after the break, and with 10 minutes of the second half gone it was the away team that had the luck of a soft penalty. Rainham scored from this and it was game on again. M&F hit back almost immediately again with a great run and strike from Jacob Lake making it 4-2. M&F's top scorer of the season so far, Charlie Roche continued his goal scoring run with another cracking goal on 50 minutes making it 5-1. Roche then continued to harass the away goal and his constant pressure paid dividends when just before the final whistle he scored his 2nd of the game and M&F's 6th

Istead Utd Colts 2 - 1 Milton & Fulston Utd  (23-10-11)

Not the greatest of days today with M&F picking up there second defeat of the season. On a large blustery pitch M&F struggled to get into there playing rythum and the home team made full use of the pitch coming close to scoring on several occasions. Today was a day where chances went begging but M&F could just not finish. A welcomed half time came with M&F trailing by 1 goal. It was hoped that a stern talking to at half time would do the trick and fire the boys up and to get playing in the way that we know they can play. Unfortunately it was only after Istead fired in a 2nd that M&F came alive, but with only 5 minutes left of the second half it was a tall order. Harry McEntire came to the rescue scoring M&F's 1st of the game but with only minutes remaining Istead defended well and walked away with the win.

Swallows 1 - 5 Milton & Fulston Utd  (06-11-11)

M&F travelled to Walderslade for there first encounter with Swallows. On a wet and dreary day M&F came out the blocks quickly, creating chances but were unable to finish and memories of previous weeks started to rear there head. With half time looming M&F looked to have cleared a swallows attack when a shot out of the blue ricocheted in off the cross bar leaving the M&F boys stunned to say the least. Another stern talking to at half time had the desired effect with the boys starting strongly and with some crisp passing and a few position changes it was Oliver Holley scoring a peach of a goal from a free kick just outside the Swallows 18 yard box. M&F's 2nd goal came from a set piece and was met by the head of Harry McEntire. It was game on, and another position change gave Danny Kadwill a great ball over the top of the defending Swallows players and a resulting superb strike giving him his first goal of the season (1-3). After some great passing and moving M&F started to get into there stride and after some great play another ball through to the ever waiting Regan James was dispatched into the back of the Swallows goal making it 1-4 to the visitors. With only minutes remaining another great run from Danny Kadwill produced M&F's 5th and final goal. A great performance today by the boys who played as a team and showed what they are capable of.

Horsted Youth 4 – 0 Milton & Fulston Utd (15-01-12)

In our first game back after new year on a very uneven pitch we had the better of the first half with Callum Smith firing over early on.
Jacob Lake put the ball through to Dan Organ who blazed over the bar. Organ tested there keeper with a well struck cross shot. When Horsted attacked it was dealt with easily by Regan James, Harry McIntire, Ben Christopher and Oliver Holly. Second half started badly with the home team scoring twice in the first eight minutes both goals due to poor defending. This unsettled the away team who had now lost there way but the next ten minutes saw Milton play some better football with Lake chasing down every 50-50 ball. Horsted scored their third from a long throw in that was misjudged by both defence and keeper. Milton pushed forward forcing four corners in quick succession but could not find the back of the net. Charlie Roache hit a powerful shot that was well saved
during our best spell of the second half, but with five minutes left the home team scored again to round off a very poor day.

Milton & Fulston Utd 5 – 2 Oak Athletic (29-01-12) (League Cup)

On a muddy uneven pitch M+F started strongly and after only 3 minutes Dan Organ fed Danny Kadwill on the right wing who crossed low and hard, this was met by Charlie Roache shooting just wide.11 minutes in neat play between Roache and Jacob Lake led to Lake scoring with a firm shot. Oak produced some good football and forced M+F back but with no reward. Sub Stan Green swung in a good cross just beyond Mitch Lawson as the home team reasserted themselves. On 27 minutes Organ played the ball over the top for Lawson to fire pass the advancing keeper to make it 2-0.Oak made it 2-1 when M+F failed to clear a corner. The home side now piled on the pressure with Kieron Faulkner hitting the bar from a corner. With half time approaching Lawson hit a great cross for Roache to finish from very close range. The second half started with M+F pushing forward. Ryan Wiltshire on as sub for Roache. 10 minutes in a quick throw from Green to Organ led to a good shot well saved. Midway through the Ben Christopher hit the post and Wiltshire couldn’t get the vital touch.18 minutes in Lawson latched on to an Organ pass hitting a firm shot at the Oak keeper, Lake followed the shot and finished from a tight angle4-1.With ten minutes to go a long Harry Mcentire throw in was half cleared to Callum Smith his strike was spilled by the keeper and Christopher was on hand to tap in. Poor defending led to Oak scoring late on. MOTM Jacob Lake. PARENTS PLAYER Regan James
